Our room at the Grand Park Royal - Cozumel was a delightful retreat with a view of the ocean. On a clear day, we were able to catch a glimpses of Playa Del Carmen. The balcony was a nice spot to relax with two chairs, a small table, and glass railings allowing for unobstructed views.
The room's interior was both stylish and functional, featuring polished stone floors and a large stone desk. For entertainment, there was a TV with cable, and the mini fridge came stocked with a few essentials. A coffee pot was available for those who enjoy a brew in the morning.
In terms of personal care, the room was well-equipped with a blow dryer and an abundance of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Safety and storage needs were met with a secure safe and a roomy closet complete with hangers and built-in shelves.
The bathroom was a standout feature, boasting a large walk-in shower made of polished stone. It included a rain head coming from the ceiling and a bench for comfort. A retractable clothesline inside the shower was a thoughtful addition for hanging wet bathing suits.
The room itself was spacious, furnished with two double beds. While the resort does offer rooms with king-size beds, they are less common than the double bed configurations. The housekeeping staff ensured that rooms were cleaned and restocked daily, maintaining a high standard of service throughout our stay.

To access the resort’s beach and oceanside pools, guests use a convenient tunnel that runs beneath Cozumel’s main road. This cleverly designed passageway connects the garden area to the beach, ensuring safe and easy access without the need to cross any busy roads. Once through the tunnel, guests are greeted by the resort's beachfront and inviting pools.

The sandy beach at the Grand Park Royal - Cozumel is situated between the adults-only pool and the family pool. Although the beach area is somewhat compact, with fewer than 40 loungers available, it offers a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The beach is located in a protected cove making it an ideal spot for children to swim safely, providing peace of mind for families.
For those interested in exploring underwater wonders, just beyond the cove lies a designated snorkeling area. This roped-off zone is teeming with vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, offering a fantastic experience for both novice and experienced snorkelers. The nearby accessibility of bathrooms and outdoor showers adds convenience, ensuring guests can comfortably enjoy their beach and snorkeling adventures.
